What We Do
We spark the next generation's interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
We want to inspire anyone – regardless of race, gender, or economic class – to find their hidden passion through our STEM-focused programs. Here’s what our founder has to say on why they started Aeronautics Northwest:
“When I was a young child, my passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) was sparked through a number of incredibly impactful moments. Although I didn’t know it at the time, these moments would come to define the course of my life. Simple things such as soldering a circuit board, launching a rocket with my grandpa, and flying a drone for the first time were all instances of these life-changing moments that sparked my burning passion for STEM. Now, I want to create inspirational moments for younger students so they, too, can find their passion.”

Pilot Program
The Pilot Program is an experiential learning opportunity designed to engage students by safely teaching them to fly drones. Our pilot program appears at events around the greater Portland area, such as the Spark Entrepreneur Night Market, the Portland Mini Maker Faire, and even at the Portland waterfront.

School Program
Aeronautics Northwest works directly with educators to tailor a curriculum specifically for their classrooms. We bring our experience, equipment, and teaching model to their students. In addition, we take into account the needs of every student and classroom – including disabilities, learning differences, and time constraints.
